The
sun was about to fall behind us. Despite its impressive formations,
I was not too happy about the very low contrast in the scene.
As the last rays of the sun crowned the rocks behind, the
scene lit. A Nikonian shooting the moonrise gives it its sense
of proportions. That nigh, all three vans were exhilarant,
for no matter where we were at, all of our images turned out
magnificent, as if South Dakota was saying to us: "Good
bye" and "Return". |
